CTAN has two chair positions open on the Executive Team! We are currently accepting nominations for a Communications Co-Chairperson and a Professional Development Co-Chairperson.

CTAN is looking for creative, dedicated, and informed Out-of-School Time professionals that are invested in making a positive impact in the Central Texas OST community. If you know a CTAN member that is dedicated to creating an ecosystem of high-quality, collaborative Out-of-School Time programming, then nominate them for a leadership position today! Nominations are due by July 3, 2015 at 4pm CST. Executive Team members will be selected by August 4, 2015.

Position Descriptions:

Communications Co-Chair

Communication strategies are vital to building capacity and harnessing the momentum of our community system-building work. Please recommend creative professionals enthusiastic about growing CTAN’s impact and engaging our membership base. The Communications Co-Chair term will be Fall 2015-Fall 2017.

Communications Co-Chair Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically engage social media platforms to relay information to network
  • Distribute and communicate all CTAN events, programs, and meetings to network
  • Maintain CTAN website with current information and posts
  • Work strategically with Membership Chair to design and implement outreach and retention plan
  • Update and manage CTAN invitation list for annual awards ceremony
  • Create and distribute monthly Newsletters, Event Updates, and e-blasts (2-3 per month)
  • Write and Publish Monthly Spotlight
  • Work closely with Co-Chair to create marketing, event, and promotional materials with attention to branding
  • Participate in Out-of-School Time System Building

Communications Co-Chair Qualifications:

  • Proficient in WordPress
  • Understands components of email marketing; experience with constant contact a plus
  • Comfortable with all social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of Photoshop a plus

Professional Development Co-Chair

Professional Development programming is a vital piece to cultivating a quality Out-of-School Time community in Central Texas. Please recommend creative professionals enthusiastic about growing CTAN’s professional development programming and impact. The Professional Development Co-Chair term will be Fall 2015-Fall 2017. Nominations are due by July 3, 2015 at 4:00pm.

Membership Chair Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate monthly Professional Development Series
  • Manage presenter relationships, interest, and sessions
  • Work with Membership Chair to strategically engage members in PD programming
  • Solicit and curate presenters for annual conference
  • Participate in School’s Out Central Texas Quality Committee
  • Maintain Resource Library on Website
  • Manage the Presenter Database with an eye towards sustainability
